Video of the Team Sahlen GTR Porsche

Sports Car fans have become very familiar with seeing the Red, Black and Yellow Team Sahlen Porsche racing around the track.
But two such Sports Car fans went one step further and built themselves their very own Team Sahlen Porsche. But in the usual way as one would suspect. No, Steve Bobble of Cleveland, Ohio along with Holger Gross of Germany designed and built their Team Sahlen Porsche in the virtual world of cyberspace on the on-line video game, GTR.
It may seem unusual that Steve and Holger would be race teammates. The two of them live almost a half world apart. But in the world of cyberspace, it only means the difference in the time of day.
Drivers compete in an on-line Leagues, where the race against other racers from around the world in a season of races ranging from 10-14 events. Just like the Grand American ROLEX series, Drivers accumulate points, racing for a season ending championship.
"Steve visited with us in our shop, and showed us the GTR game. It's amazing the detail of the car, and how closely it resembles our GT3 Cup. Beyond the resemblance, we were amazed at the options available in setting up the race cars in the video game."

The Team Sahlen Porsche will become available for download for other Sports Car fans to race at start of the 2007 year.
